21일 업계에 따르면 쿠팡(대표 김범석), 위메프(대표 박은상), 티몬(대표 유한익) 등의 소셜커머스와 대형 온,오프라인몰인 LF(대표 오규식), 신세계인터내셔널(대표 차정호) 등은 핸드폰 소액결제 후 취소 시 결제월과 취소월이 다르더라도 계좌로 현금을 우선 지급하고 있습니다.
작년 금감원은 소액결제 현금화 등 불법금융선전을 방송통신심의위원회에 요청해 사이트 폐쇄와 게시글 삭제, 계정 중지 등을 결정했지만 ‘언론 보도에는 대응하지 않았다. 금감원 지인은 “언론의 보도는 광고로 규정할 수는 없어 보여서 판단관리하기 힘든 면이 있을 것이다”고 했었다.
신세계인터내셔널 지인은 “핸드폰 소액결제는 신용카드 결제와 유사한 구조이기 덕에 본인이 계좌로 이체가 된다”고 말했다. LF몰 관계자 역시 “핸드폰 소액 결제는 다날, ISP/페이북 등으로 이미 결제가 된 부분이기 때문에 현금으로 즉시 지급하고 있을 것이다”고 이야기하였다.
<p>신용카드로 머지포인트를 구매한 일부 구매자들은 사용처에서 사용이 중단됐는데도 할부돈이 계속적으로 빠져나가고 있을 것이다고 토로하였다. 더욱이 결제 돈이 70만 원을 넘지 않는 소액이거나 일시불로 결제해 항변권을 행사하지 못해 고통받고 있는 상황이다.</p>
